Your Jet-free Sunday early games thread
With the Jets not in action until tomorrow, we can enjoy today's action from around the NFL.
Here's what to watch out for in the early games:
Texans at Jaguars - Two one-win teams face off here as they try to keep pace with the Jets in the race for the first pick in the 2021 draft.
Giants at Washington - This might be one of the Giants' best chances to win a second game. It could also be characterized as two teams desperately trying to stay in touching distance of the division-leading Eagles.
Lions at Vikings - Two teams on the verge of falling out of the NFC North race meet here. Minnesota could drop to a surprising 2-6 if they lose. If they win, both teams will be 3-5.
Panthers at Chiefs - The Chiefs are comfortably atop the AFC West but the Panthers need a win otherwise they'll drop to 3-6 in a competitive NFC. It's a good chance to see if Robby Anderson can produce in a matchup with a team against whom none of the Jets' receivers put up good numbers.
Ravens at Colts - Two 5-2 teams meet here with a great chance to solidify themselves in the race for playoff positioning. The Colts are tied with the Titans atop the AFC South, while the Ravens are two games back of the Steelers in the North.
Bears at Titans - This is a good matchup between two five-win teams. Can the Titans - who just added Desmond King to their ranks via trade - establish themselves in the AFC South race?
Seahawks at Bills - Jamal Adams makes his return for a Seattle team that won every game without him. Based on their win-loss records, this could be one of the games of the week.
Broncos at Falcons - The Falcons are 2-6 and winless at home. If Denver continues that pattern, they'll move to 4-4 on the season.
