What happened at practice on Wednesday?
The Jets were back on the field on Wednesday for the penultimate practice of the final week of training camp. Here's what went down:
- Linebackers Lorenzo Mauldin and Darron Lee missed practice again, as did cornerback Morris Claiborne.
- Juston Burris, Bruce Carter and Dylan Donahue got first team reps. Donahue had a sack of Bryce Petty in team periods.
- Darryl Roberts intercepted Josh McCown early on in team periods.
- Chad Hansen and Kenbrell Thompkins each had a couple of catches in team periods. Each saw some action with the first unit, along with Charone Peake.
- Chris Harper dropped a potential touchdown pass from Christian Hackenberg.
- Petty made a nice downfield connection with Peake and Robby Anderson scored a touchdown on a blown coverage.
- Despite being the first one up, McCown once again saw Hackenberg and Petty get most of the first team reps.
- Sheldon Richardson had an active day, with a couple of would-be sacks.
We'll let you know if anyone says anything interesting after practice.
