What happened at practice on Wednesday?
The Jets moved back outside on Wednesday for their penultimate practice of the week. Here's what went down:
- Marquess Wilson, Frank Beltre, Xavier Coleman and Matt Forté started off in the rehab area. Forté took part in individual drills for the first time in a while.
- The Jets practiced in full pads initially, then removed the pads halfway through and finished up in shells.
- Demario Davis broke up four passes in a row in one-on-one drills with the tight ends.
- ArDarius Stewart, Charone Peake and Jalin Marshall were guilty of drops.
- Jamal Adams had a sack on the first play in team periods.
- Robby Anderson had a spectacular one-handed catch on a deep ball from Bryce Petty.
- Chad Hansen made a couple of nice catches in traffic. Both Hansen and Chris Harper limped off during practice, but returned without requiring treatment.
- Dexter McDougle and David Rivers broke up passes in team periods. McDougle then intercepted Hackenberg in 11-on-11's and new addition Robenson Therezie broke up passes on consecutive plays.
- Both kickers made all six of their field goal attempts.
- Hackenberg and Josh McCown each threw a touchdown pass in red zone drills.
- McCown then led a touchdown drive, finding Anderson for his third touchdown of the day.
- Practice ended when Marcus Maye intercepted McCown on a fourth down pass in the end zone.
We'll let you know if anyone says anything interesting after practice.
