Roster News: Mitchell placed on NFI, Duvernay-Tardif activated
The Jets have confirmed that Max Mitchell is out for the season, so made a move to replace him on the 53-man roster:
We've signed OL Laurent Duvernay-Tardif to the active roster and placed OL Max Mitchell on NFI.

We've also signed OL Sam Schlueter to the practice squad.
It seems likely Duane Brown and George Fant will be the starters at tackle for the rest of the season as long as they remain healthy, so hopefully the Jets won't be damaged too much by this news. Mike Remmers will be the swing tackle until Cedric Ogbuehi comes off injured reserve, which is three more weeks away.
Schlueter is an undrafted rookie out of Minnesota. He is a 6'6", 309 tackle who played in two preseason games with the 49ers, giving up one sack.
