Roster News: Jets waive wide receiver Brisly Estime
The two remaining Jets restricted free agents, Rontez Miles and Neal Sterling, signed their RFA tenders today, but buried within the announcement of that from the Jets official site was the following news:
#Jets also waived WR Brisly Estime, who tore Achilles in OTAs last year after signing as undrafted FA out of Syracuse.

We had high hopes for Estime to lock down a return specialist role last year, so it's disappointing that they've given up on him after his injury last year. However, there are already a handful of contenders for those roles, with the draft and undrafted free agent signings still to happen.
While the Jets officially have 88 players under contract according to the NFLPA database, this move, along with the four cuts the other day and Matt Forté's retirement which is apparently still not processed, should bring the total number of signings down to 82.
