Roster News: Jets trade 5th round pick for CB Rashard Robinson
During his presser today, Todd Bowles said the Jets wouldn't be making any trade deadline moves. At the end, he was surprised to be informed of this:

The Jets are giving up a 5th round pick, according to Peter Schrager.
Again the Jets have to make a corresponding move, although we are still waiting to see if Jeremy Kerley will be suspended, which would free up a spot.
Robinson is a former teammate of Jamal Adams at LSU. He has the length and physicality that Todd Bowles likes in his corners, but doesn't really address the short term need for someone who can man the slot because he's mostly operated on the outside.
He was a fourth round pick last year and put up decent coverage numbers but also has 23 penalties in 22 career games, including 10 in the first seven games of this year. Seven of those 23 were on special teams.
We'll have a scouting report on Robinson in due course.
