Roster News: Jets trade 2020 sixth round pick for CB Nate Hairston
Inevitably, the Jets were going to have to bolster their cornerback position. They've made progress today:
We've agreed to terms on a trade for CB Nate Hairston in exchange for a sixth-round pick, pending a physical.

The 25-year old Hairston has started 11 games in two seasons after having been a fifth-round pick out of Temple. He has 65 tackles, two sacks, one interception and is regarded as better in man coverage than zone.
He played better in his rookie year than he did last year, which could be attributable to the fact the Colts played more zone, but may also be because Hairston played most of his reps in the slot as a rookie but was on the outside last season.
The Jets had an extra sixth-rounder to play with after the Darron Lee trade earlier in the offseason. The Colts will receive the later of the two picks.
