Roster News: Jets to sign WR Marquess Wilson
The Jets have a roster spot free and it looks like they're going to use it to bring a little experience to their receiving corps:
#Jets are signing former Bears WR Marquess Wilson, per his reps @SportsManagers. Career: 56 catches, 777 yds, 3 TDs. Ended '16 on IR (foot).

The 6'3" Wilson only had nine catches before getting hurt last year but started six games in 2015 and caught 28 passes for 464 yards and a touchdown. He played with Josh McCown in his rookie year after the Bears selected him in the seventh round of the 2013 draft.
Wilson has been somewhat injury prone since entering the league but has shown some flashes as a downfield threat and has also had some production out of the slot. He has had two 100-yard receiving games in his career, including one last year.
Some of his athletic numbers are pretty good, but the results are all over the place generally:
We'll provide a more detailed scouting report in due course.
