Roster News: Jets to sign veteran punter Morstead
With Braden Mann on the shelf for several weeks the Jets have made a move for a (presumably temporary) replacement.
Veteran punter Thomas Morstead is signing with the #Jets, source said.

Morstead played 12 seasons with the #Saints and won a Super Bowl. Now, a fresh start in New York, which just lost Braden Mann to a knee injury.
Morstead, who was a second team all-pro back in 2012, was 10th in the NFL in yards per punt in 2019 so hopefully he still has some juice in that leg. Perhaps he can also give Mann some tips while he's rehabbing from his knee injury.
Matt Ammendola can return to his intended role as the team's placekicker following a creditable effort filling in on Sunday.
