Roster News: Jets to re-sign Nick Mangold ... who will then retire

This might be the best player the Jets have signed in the Mike Maccagnan era, but sadly it will only be a one-day deal...

I will be signing a one day deal with @nyjets next week so I can retire a Jet.

Mangold was unfortunately unable to make it back onto the field after an injury plagued 2016 season, but the fact his career was cut short shouldn't overshadow what a tremendous player he was.

We wish Nick all the best in his retirement and look forward to celebrating his enshrinement into the hall of fame in due course.
