Roster News: Jets tender RFA Adams

The Jets have made another important move:

The Jets will get a chance to match any contract offer sheet that Adams signs, otherwise will be able to retain him for the 2025 with a salary of just over $3 million.

Adams, who was controversially benched during the 2024 season - a move some reports indicated was made at the request of owner Woody Johnson - started over the past two seasons and did a solid job.

With Chuck Clark, Jalen Mills, Isaiah Oliver and Ashtyn Davis all out of contract, the Jets will need to make another move or two at this position, although they might be hopeful that Jarius Monroe could move into a bigger role. It's also not impossible that new signing Brandon Stephens could play some safety.
