Huff is unlikely to be given an offer sheet, but if he is the Jets can either match or collect a second round pick. Alternatively, the Jets could work out a trade with another team for lower compensation. He will otherwise play out the 2023 season on a one-year deal worth just over $4 million.
If he returns, Huff will likely be in a situational pass rusher role again, although Jermaine Johnson was starting to get some of his reps down the stretch.
Jeff Smith and James Robinson were not tendered and are now unrestricted free agents.
