Roster News: Jets sign WR Williams, waive WR Foxx
While practice is just getting underway, the Jets just announced another roster move:
We have signed WR Daniel Williams and waived WR Deshon Foxx. https://t.co/ZTGkZJ0uq9

Williams is an undrafted rookie who had a productive career at Jackson State, catching a school-record 184 passes for almost 2,500 yards and 19 touchdowns in four seasons. He was reported to have signed with the Oakland Raiders, but that seems to have just been a mini-camp invitation.
He's a big receiver, who apparently measured up at 6'2" and 234 pounds at his pro day, where he also ran a 4.51 40-yard dash and showed off a 35" vertical jump. However, the Jets official site's report says he's 6'3" and 200 pounds.
Foxx was not targeted in the Jets' preseason game on Saturday night and had fallen behind the likes of Lucky Whitehead and Frankie Hammond in the battle for the punt returner role.
We'll have a more detailed scouting report on Williams in due course.
