Roster News: Jets sign WR/PR Davis
The Jets have made another move ahead of camp.
WR/PR Rashard Davis, who won a National Championship at James Madison, a Super Bowl with the Eagles, and who led the USFL in return yardage, reached agreement with the NY Jets, per his agent @seanstellato.

Davis was with the Eagles while Joe Douglas was still with the team but has been out of the NFL for the past few years, playing in the CFL and USFL.
The 5'9" 26-year old was undrafted in 2017 despite returning four punts for touchdowns in his senior year and has been with four NFL teams. He ran a 4.47 at his pro day but has only played in one NFL game back in 2019. He caught a 16-yard pass and returned two punts for nine yards in that game.
This move is probably just to give the Jets some cover, as they only had 11 receivers on the roster before today - a low number to enter camp with. It's possible someone will have failed a physical or something to create room but we'll confirm any corresponding move in due course.
