Roster News: Jets sign WR Lazard
Pass catchers weren't regarded as a key need for the Jets this offseason but they've been linked with several for some reason. The first documented player from outside the organization to agree to a free agent deal is reportedly a wide receiver:
BREAKING: #Jets are signing FA WR Allen Lazard to a 4-year, $44M deal with $22M guaranteed, sources tell @thescore.

Lazard comes off his best season, totaling 60/788/6 in 15 games with #Packers. This deal should also get things to the finish line with Aaron Rodgers and the Jets. pic.twitter.com/wOmAbEe0pC
Lazard, who also has good size and blocking ability, also reunites with new offensive coordinator Nate Hackett.
The Jets have also been linked with Randall Cobb, Odell Beckham and Marcedes Lewis by various sources today, with all three said to be on Rodgers' wishlist. We shall see whether those deals and the potential Rodgers trade itself are on the horizon.
