The Jets now have eight wide receivers so you can probably expect them to waive a youngster and try to stash them on the practice squad between now and opening day. They reportedly released FB Julian Howsare to create space on the roster.
Kerley, who left the Jets at the end of the 2015 season, having struggled to fit into Chan Gailey's offensive system, caught a career high 64 passes last season with the 49ers. He was a fifth round pick for Mike Tannenbaum back in 2011 and caught 182 passes in his first five seasons with the Jets.
