Roster News: Jets sign Shaneil Jenkins, release Courtney Upshaw

A roster move already for the Jets:

Former Seahawks’ and Cowboys’ DE Shaneil Jenkins, who had two sacks in first two preseason games with Dallas before injuring his knee, signed with the Jets, per @seanstellato.

The 6'4" 275 Jenkins is 24 and was undrafted in 2016. Since then, he's been on four different NFL teams but not yet played in a regular season game. Dallas were apparently using him as a defensive tackle in the above-mentioned preseason action.

UPDATE: The Jets announced that Courtney Upshaw was released. He was placed on the non-football injury list yesterday and did not practice.
