These players will now be on a one-year non-guaranteed contract, which essentially means they can attend training camp (and, in some cases, rookie camp) and the offseason program, as long as they remain on the team. The new contracts officially kick in on day one of the new league year in March.
In addition to these seven, offensive tackle Sam Schleuter, defensive lineman Tanzel Smart and receiver/return man Diontae Spencer were also on the practice squad at the end of the year and could be brought back in the days ahead. Linebacker Marcell Harris was also on the practice squad injured reserve.
