Roster News: Jets sign safety JT Hassell

With Ashtyn Davis and Bennett Jackson expected to miss at least a game or so, the Jets need some reinforcement at safety. They've addressed that today, although the player in question won't be able to join the team until next week due to Covid-19 protocols:

Hassell was an undrafted rookie with the Browns last season, during which time he had seven tackles in four games. The 25-year old is 5'11" and 200 pounds and put up some good pro day numbers last year with a 4.44 in the 40-yard dash, 42-inch vertical, 23 bench press reps and a 6.84 three-cone drill. He could provide depth and special teams contributions if he ends up on the gameday roster.
