Roster News: Jets sign K Joseph to practice squad

The Jets are shaking things up at the kicker position:

The New York Jets just signed my client Greg Joseph (K, FAU) to their practice squad. 7-year vet recently filled in for the Washington Commanders as well as the New York Giants earlier this season.

The veteran Joseph will compete with Anders Carlson this week with Greg Zuerlein potentially also in the mix if they activate him.

Joseph, who is 30, was the Vikings full time kicker from 2021 to 2023 but the Jets will be his sixth team overall.

In other news, the Jets confirmed that Olu Fashanu won't need surgery after his foot injury on Sunday so he should make a full recovery. He will, however, head to injured reserve and miss the last two games.
