Roster News: Jets sign Jackson and Kelly, release two
As expected a couple of guys from rookie minicamp apparently impressed enough to earn a contract:
We've signed WR Calvin Jackson and OL Derrick Kelly.

Jackson, who is 5'8" and comes from NFL stock, apparently made some plays at minicamp and was also working on returning punts. He was a teammate of Jermaine Johnson II on the team that was featured on "Last Chance U" and caught 66 passes for almost 1,000 yards at Washington State last season.
Kelly has actually played in seven NFL games already, albeit only 34 offensive snaps, having entered the league in 2019. He played both tackle positions and left guard in college and has a long wingspan but unimpressive workout numbers.
Montgomery briefly saw action at the end of last season but Dillon had only been on the practice squad.
