Roster News: Jets sign CB/ST James

The Jets have made a roster move ahead of camp.

James was released by the Eagles a few days ago after three seasons with the team. He had begun his career in Minnesota as an undrafted rookie in 2018.

The 26-year old is listed at 5'10" and 195 pounds and ran a 4.5 in the 40-yard dash at his pro day. He has recorded 17 tackles, a pass defensed and a fumble recovery in 21 NFL games, including one start.

On defense, James has primarily played outside cornerback but most of his contributions have come on special teams where he's played on every unit including as a gunner and as a vice. He had 10 special teams tackles in 2019.

They will need to release someone to make room for this signing. We'll let you know when this is announced.
