Roster News: Jets sign CB Myers, waive S Battle

Joe Douglas made another roster move today:

Battle was an undrafted free agent who was at LSU at the same time as Jamal Adams, but faced an uphill slog/dogfight/struggle to make the final roster.

Myers played for the Bucs in preseason last year, mostly as an outside cornerback. He had won a contract with them after attending mini-camp on a tryout basis. He was a small school prospect from Southeastern and is listed at 5'9" and 189 pounds. He apparently had 4.4 speed and managed a 125" broad jump at his pro day.
