Roster News: Jets sign CB Cioffi

The Jets made another roster move today:

Cioffi spent the last two seasons in Canada where he was a productive hybrid safety for the Ottawa Redblacks. Prior to that he had been an undrafted free agent with the Raiders but was released in final cuts.

The 25-year old attended Rutgers, where he began his college career as a cornerback. However, he converted to safety in his junior year.

The team also announced that they have given tight end Daniel Brown a one-year extension for some reason.
