Roster News: Jets sign Brown, waive Ellington after failed physical
Here's yet another roster move from the Jets while we wait for the scrimmage to get underway:
We have signed FB Algernon Brown and waived WR Bruce Ellington with a failed physical designation.

Brown is a 25-year old rookie from BYU. He is listed as a fullback although he is more than just a blocking back as he rushed for over 1,300 yards and caught 35 passes in college, for 16 touchdowns. He is 6'0" and 255 pounds. Running back coach Stump Mitchell has said the Jets plan to feature a fullback this year, so perhaps Brown will get in the mix to be that guy.
In case you're wondering, yes I did spend four hours on a Bruce Ellington scouting report today which was going to run tomorrow morning. Let's hope Brown lasts a little longer. We'll do an in-depth scouting report on him in due course.
