With Austin Seferian-Jenkins suspended for the first two games, the Jets needed someone with experience and the 25-year old fits the bill. He caught 48 passes last year, although he's only 6'2" and not regarded as much of a blocker.
The promising Jason Vander Laan, who missed the last couple of preseason games, could now be a candidate to be waived and placed on the practice squad, unless Eric Tomlinson's injury is expected to keep him out for a while.
We'll keep you posted of any more moves.
