Roster News: Jets release K Ficken, sign K Ammendola

The Jets made a potentially significkent roster move last night:

Ficken, who had some injury issues during an inconsistent 2020 season, had missed a handful of kicks during the first day of camp, including two yesterday.

The undrafted rookie, Chris Naggar, had fared slightly better but he also missed a few so he'll face a challenge from Ammendola, who has yet to play in an NFL game after going undrafted last season.

Ammendola, who has also spent time with the Panthers, made just under 80 percent of his field goals at Oklahoma State and 98 percent of his extra points.
