Roster News: Jets release Bawden, sign Firkser

The Jets have made a roster move:

Bawden has been a solid fullback over the years but struggled to stay healthy. He had only just been activated from the PUP list.

Firkser returns to the Jets having briefly been here in 2017. We scouted him back then but he went on to be a journeyman since then, catching 115 passes including five touchdowns in 71 regular season appearances.

It remains to be seen if the fullback position will be something the Jets employ this year, or if they instead operate out of two-back formations or with tight ends in the backfield.
