Roster News: Jets re-sign S Jackson

Overshadowed by the news of Carl Lawson's injury yesterday was the fact that safety Zane Lewis also tore his patellar tendon and sprained his MCL, so he will also be out for the season. The Jets brought back one of the players they cut on Tuesday to replace him on the active roster.

Lewis was a long-shot to contribute anyway, but had responded well to moving from cornerback to safety with three interceptions in camp. Jackson gives the team a warm body for tomorrow afternoon's game but might not be around for too long.
