Roster News: Jets re-sign McDermott, release Knight

The Jets announced a roster move:

We've known for the past week that McDermott would be re-signed and with one spot left open on the practice squad, it was obvious they'd be releasing someone and hoping they cleared waivers. It's a calculated gamble for the Jets - who love Knight's potential - and they'll hope that anyone who might have claimed him a few days ago will already have filled this need.

McDermott was injured during the Green-White scrimmage and hasn't practiced since, but the Jets evidently preferred him to Chuma Edoga as their swing tackle heading into the regular season.
