Roster News: Jets re-sign Bilal Powell
The Jets finally filled their most important vacancy - that 91st roster spot that we suspect the team forgot they were entitled to, having acquired the roster-exempted Australian Val Holmes last month:
We’ve agreed to terms with RB Bilal Powell.

Powell is recovered from the neck injury that landed him on injured reserve last year, but joins an extremely crowded running backs room. The team will no doubt hope he brings some veteran leadership to the offense.
Powell, who averaged 4.3 yards per carry and caught 11 passes in seven games, rushed for over 50 yards four times last year. That included 99 in the win over the Broncos. His four games with over 50 rushing yards actually led the team, as Isaiah Crowell only did it three times despite rushing for almost 700 yards.
