Roster News: Jets promote Nasilrildeen and Hermanns to the active roster

After having not made any weekend roster moves last week for the first time in the practice squad elevation era, the Jets announced the following:

We've elevated LB Hamsah Nasirildeen and OL Grant Hermanns from the practice squad for #NYJvsPIT.

The Jets obviously need some special teams help in the linebacker group with Quincy Williams out. However, the fact that they have not placed him on injured reserve presumably means they feel like they expect him back within a few weeks. Had they placed him on injured reserve ahead of tomorrow's game, he wouldn't be eligible to play again until the Patriots game in week eight.

The Jets are expected to start Conor McDermott at left tackle with Hermanns as the number three. Cedric Ogbuehi is unlikely to see action having been with the team for less than a week.
