Roster News: Jets place CB Brown on injured reserve, activate WR Smith

The Jets lost another starter in yesterday's game:

We have signed WR Jeff Smith to the active roster and placed CB Kyron Brown on IR.

We have also signed OL Brad Lundblade to the practice squad.

Brown, who was seeing his first action on defense at the NFL level on Sunday, departed early with a quadriceps injury.

Smith, an undrafted rookie who was with the Jets throughout training camp but didn't play in preseason due to injury, is a converted quarterback with good speed but questionable hands. We broke him down in detail here.
