Recent signing Daeshon Hall reportedly failed his physical, opening up a roster spot for Sunday's game.
Sam Ficken was listed as doubtful so it's not impossible that he could still play on Sunday but that seems unlikely. Castillo can only be elevated from the practice squad one more time so by adding him to the active roster they can put him back on the practice squad for that purpose later.
Hager has been brought up for the second week in a row and will probably just play on special teams barring an injury. Patrick Onwuasor should be available soon, though, having practiced for the first time this week.
The extra depth at wide receiver is useful with Jamison Crowder and Breshad Perriman out but this may only be a short-term opportunity. Scott will make his first appearance as a Jet. He has one catch in three NFL games in his career.
Clark might have been inactive anyway as he was last week but the Jets have ten offensive linemen on the roster so they have plenty of cover.
McDougald has been a disappointment at safety this year and may not get his starting job back if Ashtyn Davis does well. Maulet will provide cover in the secondary and on special teams.
