Winfrey will make his Jets debut, leapfrogging Marquiss Spencer to replace Tanzel Smart as the fourth man in the interior line rotation.
With Mekhi Becton, Duane Brown and Schweitzer all potentially returning this weekend, the offensive line will be in the best shape it's been since the bye week.
The Amos move was announced earlier today but the Newman move isn't really a surprise either now that Schweitzer is back. The Jets will probably add him to the practice squad next week.
Hardee's return will boost a special teams unit that has been performing badly in coverage and the return game since he was last active.
In injury news, tight end Kenny Yeboah, who is still on injured reserve, was downgraded to out. The team may still be able to sign him to the 53-man roster on Monday but it's probably more likely he ends up permanently on injured reserve.
