Roster News: Jets elevate Newman and Taylor

The Jets have made their roster moves ahead of Sunday's game against the Giants:

We knew they would have to elevate a lineman with Joe Tippmann out so this is no surprise. Newman can back up at the guard positions, but if there is an injury Billy Turner would probably be the first man off the bench.

Taylor, who will be making his Jets debut, impressed at the gunner position in preseason, so will probably handle those duties with Irv Charles out.
