Roster News: Jets cut Will Parks
The Jets made a somewhat surprising move today:

However, by all accounts, they may be just moving him temporarily to the practice squad (assuming he clears waivers) due to a roster crunch. With Chazz Surratt and Marcell Harris both injured, they may need to elevate Hamsah Nasirildeen to the active roster if they need him for special teams duties on Sunday. Signing him to the active roster would therefore be necessary because Nasirildeen has already been elevated the maximum three times.
Parks could still be elevated for Sunday's game, but will miss practice tomorrow while he waits to clear waivers. He did practice today after having Tuesday off for a non-football reason.
If this move isn't to make space for Nasirildeen it could perhaps be because another team made a bid to poach another one of their practice squad members or perhaps they plan to add Tanzel Smart - who himself only had one elevation remaining - rather than risk him being unavailable in the remaining weeks.
We will no doubt find out tomorrow and update you then.
