Roster News: Jets claim OT Antonio Garcia
An interesting move here from the Jets, to say the least:
The #Jets have claimed former #Patriots OL Antonio Garcia, source said. He was waived with a non-football injury but said recently he was cleared.

Garcia was sidelined for all of last year after doctors diagnosed him with blood clots on the lungs, which reportedly caused him to lose about 50 pounds.
However, he was the fourth tackle selected in last year's draft (85th overall) so he is a player who was regarded as having a lot of potential. The Patriots drafted Isaiah Wynn, who may compete for the left tackle role, making Garcia surplus to requirements.
In other news, the Jets are apparently planning to work out veteran safety Kenny Vaccaro, according to a report from NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. We'll let you know if anything comes of that, or if the team announces a cut to make room for Garcia.
UPDATE - Kicker Nick Rose was the player cut, which makes sense because they had three kickers on the roster after having picked up Taylor Bertolet during rookie camp.
We'll have an in-depth breakdown of Garcia in due course
