Roster News: Jets activate Qvale and place Griffin on IR

Ahead of tonight's game, the Jets have made this move:

Qvale will probably be active tonight because there are seven other players who have been ruled out or listed as doubtful. He's started at tackle and guard in the past but is probably just going to contribute on special teams unless someone else gets hurt.

After a slow start to the season, Griffin established himself as one of Sam Darnold's favorite targets and earned himself a contract extension before getting injured last week. Daniel Brown got most of the reps in Griffin's absence, with rookie Trevon Wesco moving up to be the number two. The Jets will employ a sixth lineman if they run any three-tight end packages.
