Roster News: James Burgess activated
The Jets have reinstated the first of their four players on Covid-19 reserve - and probably the most likely of the four to be a contributor in 2020:

Burgess started 10 games last year and the Jets went 6-4 in those games. He ended up leading the team with 80 tackles.
The Jets now have 79 active players. That means that they can still bring in an outside player for a workout - which you can only do if you are below the 80 limit. If they activate one more player they will no longer be able to do this without making another roster move and if they activate anyone after that, they'll have to make a cut to remain at 80.
Cornerback Bryce Hall, Linebacker Ahmad Gooden and Safety Shyheim Carter remain on the Covid-19 reserve list for now.
