Roster News: Crowder to be placed on Covid-19 reserve
A minor disruption to the Jets' plans ahead of the opener:
#Jets WR Jamison Crowder tested positive for COVID-19, sources tell @RapSheet and me.

It’s believed this is an isolated case. But Crowder is going on the COVID list and his status is now up in the air for the Week 1 opener against the #Panthers.
Crowder was not at practice over the past few days due to a minor groin strain, which is fortunate because it means nobody else on the team is a close contact that will also need to spend time on the list.
It sounds as if there's a chance Crowder could still be cleared in time to play in the opener, but the team will have to prepare without him. If he's not cleared, they'll be able to elevate someone from the practice squad, where they have a few wide receivers available.
If he can't play, the Jets are well equipped to cover for him, with Elijah Moore, Keelan Cole and Braxton Berrios all capable of producing from the slot.
