Roster News: McDermott re-signed to the practice squad, Smith released
The Jets made a minor move today:
We've signed OL Conor McDermott to the practice squad.

The Jets had a spot free after Mike Remmers was moved from the practice squad to the active roster on Monday. This re-signing perhaps signifies that Lawrence Cager won't be back after he was released from the active roster to make room for Vinny Curry.
McDermott can now serve as emergency depth for the Jets as opposed to being an option to start, which is a good sign of how the Jets have shored up their depth with Duane Brown's return and Remmers' elevation.
UPDATE: The Jets also announced the following, which opens up another space (but Cager has since signed for the Giants).
We've released OL Eric Smith from the practice squad.
