Report: Jets sign RB Travaris Cadet
Here's some news about a player the Jets had been linked with since he was released earlier this month:
Jets have signed former Saints running back Travaris Cadet following a successful workout, according to league sources

We previously wrote about the Jets' interest in Cadet here. He's been a third down back over the course of his career and, as a result, has more receptions than rushing yards at the NFL level, including a career-high 40 last year.
However, it's likely the main reason they've brought him in is so that he can return kicks. Cadet has averaged 24.3 yards per kick-off return with two returns of at least 75 yards at the NFL level. He is less experienced as a punt returner though, so the Jets will probably leave Jeremy Kerley in that role.
The Jets would need to release someone to make room for Cadet. A tight end would make the most sense with five currently on the roster and the two with injuries expected to return soon.
They had also worked out former Chiefs running back Knile Davis, per Wilson.
We'll provide a full scouting report on Cadet once the move has been confirmed.
