Report: Jets to promote Bates to offensive coordinator, as expected

Here's confirmation of a move that was widely anticipated:

Bates was the playcaller in John Morton's offense during one of his two years as USC offensive coordinator. Hopefully this should mean there is good continuity for the season ahead.
