Report: Jets sign TE Neal Sterling
Yet another roster move from the Jets? It seems so...
The #Jets have signed former #Jaguars tight end, Monmouth alum, Neal Sterling, per source.

Sterling is a converted wide receiver who was converted into an H-back style tight end last year. He was a seventh round draft pick out of Monmouth in 2015 and had 12 NFL receptions last year after spending half of his rookie year on the practice squad and the other half in a special teams role. He caught three passes in preseason and is 6'3", 238 with a 35.5-inch vertical leap. In case you're wondering, he doesn't have any experience as a fullback.
We'll let you know if and when the Jets announce the corresponding transaction and will provide a more in-depth scouting report on Sterling if he remains on the active roster.
The Jets also made a practice squad move. They'll presumably shuffle a few guys onto and off of the scout team before they settle on a final group. Gamble could well be back at some point.
