Postgame: Texans 29 Jets 22
In what was an enjoyable game to watch, the Jets gave the playoff-bound Texans a tough test but DeAndre Hopkins' late touchdown dropped them to 4-10 on the season.
Sam Darnold had one of his best games - maybe even THE best game - of his career so far, as he passed for 253 yards and two touchdowns and ran for three first downs. Robby Anderson also had another good performance with seven catches for 96 yards and a score.
The Jets held the Texans to 47 rushing yards and registered six sacks, including three by Henry Anderson. However, they had no answer for Hopkins, who caught 10 passes for 170 yards and two scores.
With two games to go in the season the Jets will hope Darnold can keep up his momentum since his return from injury. However, they privately won't be too distressed at having played well without worsening their draft position.
We'll be back tomorrow with plenty more in-depth analysis, starting bright and early...
