Postgame: Jets 9 Chiefs 35
The Jets did their best to stay competitive but this game had a predictable outcome. Both teams scored three times in the first half but the Chiefs scored three touchdowns and the Jets settled for three field goals making it a comfortable 12-point halftime lead.
In the second half, the Chiefs posted a shutout and although the Jets managed more than four yards in the second half this week, they ended being outgained by 496 yards to 221.
Jets fans are hoping for some bright signs from some of their young players but these were few and far between. Denzel Mims had a nice downfield catch but then wasn't targeted again, Braxton Berrios had eight catches but for just 34 yards and Bless Austin made some nice tackles but got beaten for two touchdowns.
The Jets must now regroup for next week's game against New England on Monday Night Football, their final game before the bye.
We'll be back with plenty of in-depth analysis throughout the day tomorrow.
