Postgame: Jets 30 Colts 45
Josh Johnson, the greatest quarterback in NFL history, passed for 317 yards and three touchdowns to heroically lead the Jets back to respectability after a terrible defensive performance dropped them in a 42-10 hole.
Johnson was only forced into action because the hero of the last game, Mike White, suffered an early arm injury having thrown a touchdown pass to Elijah Moore to bring the Jets level at 7-7.
Moore had a breakout game with two touchdowns and the Jets amazingly almost passed for over 400 yards for the second straight game after going more than 20 years without one but ended up with 398 due to sack yardage as White and Johnson combined for 415 through the air.
A costly Ty Johnson fumble was probably the key play of the first half as the Colts scored a touchdown on all four of their possessions. The Jets then almost made it a one-possession game in the last minute but the Colts intercepted a tipped pass in the red zone.
This was nowhere near as close as the scoreline would suggest and the Jets will be extremely concerned over how poorly their defense played with the Colts rushing for 260 yards and racking up their sixth touchdown with over six minutes still remaining in the third quarter.
We'll be here all day tomorrow with in-depth analysis of this debacle, starting first thing in the morning, so check in here early and often. For now you can use the comments here to vent...
