Postgame: Jets 24 Falcons 16
The Jets won another preseason game as they once again fell into a hole early only for Chris Streveler to lead them back in the second half. The defense was picked apart to the tune of almost 300 yards in the first half, although the Jets did rest most of their key starters while the Falcons didn't.
A late two-minute drive, highlighted by a Denzel Mims downfield catch, got the Jets a field goal to cut the deficit to 16-3 at the half. However, it wasn't until Streveler took over for Mike White that the offense really got going. Streveler completed eight of 11 passes for 119 yards and a touchdown and also rushed for 33 yards as the Jets scored 24 unanswered to come away with the win.
It was a good day for Lawrence Cager, who led the Jets for the second game in a row with 65 receiving yards, including a 34-yard touchdown. Bradlee Anae also came up big with a late fumble return for a score.
