Open thread: Sunday's playoff action
Coming up today/tonight:
Texans at Chiefs - 3:05 p.m. ET
Following their come-from-behind win over the Bills, the Texans can't really afford to ride their luck against a solid Chiefs team that must have their sights on a Super Bowl berth now that New England is out of the way.
After a quiet first half, DeAndre Hopkins was featured a lot more in the second half, enabling Deshaun Watson's late-game heroics. Look for the Texans to try and force the ball to him on Sunday, which will test the Chiefs secondary.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes has plenty of weapons at his disposal, including pro bowlers Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill. On defense, pro bowlers Frank Clark and Chris Jones combined for 17 sacks and all-pro Tyrann Mathieu had four interceptions.
Seahawks at Packers - 6:40 p.m. ET
The Seahawks caught a break last weekend when Carson Wentz got injured but Aaron Rodgers should present a much greater challenge this week.
With the Seahawks' running game not yet fully adjusted to having Marshawn Lynch back, Russsel Wilson had to carry Seattle with 325 passing yards and most of the team's rushing total last weekend. Rookie DK Metcalf came up big with 160 yards on seven catches.
Rodgers had over 4,000 yards and only four interceptions this year with Aaron Jones rushing for over 1,000 yards and Davante Adams falling three yards short of doing the same thing.
Defensively, they acquired edge rushers Zadarius Smith and Preston Smith during the offseason and the pair combined for 25.5 sacks, while Blake Martinez racked up an impressive 155 tackles.
WHO YA GOT?
